Otiende Amollo was a wrong choice for Rarieda. One year down the line,and the Mp is busy on social media posting empty public relations stunt that are of either minimal or absolutely no bearing on the primary needs of the common man.
I have read with utter shock and disbelief,from the Mp's social media handles that him and his office have organized a two days medical camp in Rarieda, with 'Specialist Doctors'. I wonder how organizing for VCT and Counselling,family planning talks and NHIF registration require 'specialists Doctors', may be according to Hon.Otiende Amollo.We are not stupid.The times have changed.You can't fool people to that extent,in order to prolong your insatiable appetite to embezzle public funds
It's more embarrassing and astonishing in equal measure that the same medical camps have been organized by public funds, in terms of hired tents,chairs,public address system and refreshments.How that amounts to a whopping Kshs.10 million,only thieves and finance swindlers can demistify.The said amount is official information from the Mp's office.
NHIF registration campaign,family planning crusade and VCT awareness have existed with us,since I was a babbling baby to date.Midwives(nyamrerwa),KEMRI/CDC and local vernacular radio stations have done a sustained exemplary job in that regard for all those years.Besides, these are issues of individual personal choices.One can chose to register with NHIF, to test for HIV/AIDs and to embark on family planning or not.You can't to do a proposal on these,with tax payers money to fleece them and hype the same in the pretext of 'specialist Doctors'.
St.Elizabet Lwak Mission Hosiptal,Bar Health Center,Ong'ielo Sub County Hospital,Madiany District Hospital among several other health institution can do and have been doing HIV/AIDs testing and family planning sensitization freely without inviting so called Specialist Doctor..Let any supporter of Otiende show me a single Specialist Doctor in the entire Rarieda.You don't need a specialist Doctor to register for NHIF either.
